BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season,
Julie Ward of the King University women's volleyball team has been selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week. Ward posted three double-doubles and set a career-high in digs last week.
Ward led the Tornado defense last week with 61 digs in three matches for an average of 5.55 digs per set. Offensively she averaged 3.27 kills per set while posting three double-doubles on the week. Ward set a career-high with 29 digs on Friday night at Emmanuel College to go along with 12 kills. The senior started the week with 14 kills and 15 digs at Erskine College. She finished the week with 10 kills and 17 digs in a 3-0 win at Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday.
Ward was also selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week on September 27.
The Tornado are in action again on Tuesday night when they take on rival Lees-McRae College at 7:00 p.m. in the Student Center Complex.
