BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University esports team was busy again this week and was led by an astounding FIFA performance. Valorant had a tough week and dropped a match with Tennessee Tech. Rocket League had a mixed week as the A team went 11-0 over four matches and the B team fell to Cumberland 3-0.
FIFA
- The Tornado made a few adjustments from last week's performance as they met New England College in the second round of ECAC play.
- In the first match King took a 3-0 lead in the first 20 minutes.
- New England was unable to respond until late in the second half when they found the goal, but that was it as King took the first match 8-1.
- In the second match the story was very similar however New England did make some changes to slow the pace.
- King held a 3-0 lead early in the opening half.
- New England continued to work with their lineup and find a setup that would stop King's attack.
- The Tornado kept rolling and held off the New England attack to win the second and final match 6-0.
FORTNITE
- Following the first week of play the Tornado were in 25th of 58 ECAC teams.
- King made some adjustments going into week two earning a pair of top 10 finishes and a 12th-place finish to climb the standings.
- Points are still currently being tallied up but King made some big moves as they roll into week three.

ROCKET LEAGUE
- Rocket League A went on a tear this week, going 8-0 overall with wins over Louisiana Tech University, Barton College and Farmingdale State College in ECAC and NACE play.
- They also took a 3-0 win over Texas Tech University in the UGC.
- Rocket League B had a tough bout with Cumberland University where fell 3-0 in the NECC league play.
VALORANT
- The King Valorant team started the first round strong against Tennessee Tech University as they took an early 2-1 lead on defense.
- Tennessee Tech continued to feel the Tornado out and find an attack that would penetrate King's defenses.
- Later in the round Tennessee Tech adjusted well as they took a 9-3 lead moving into defense.
- King began attack with great momentum as they won the first two rounds to tighten the score to 9-5.
- Tennessee Tech recovered quickly and took the first round 13-5.
- The next map chosen was Split and King was on attack first.
- Attack is typically the more difficult segment of the match to control and Tennessee Tech played defense very well to take an early 4-0 lead.
- After switching sides and moving to defense King trailed 9-3.
- The Tornado were able to pick up a win on defense but Tennessee Tech would continue to push on attack to take the second round 13-4.
