BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a key matchup in not only the Conference Carolinas standings, but the NCATA rankings, the ninth-ranked King University acrobatics & tumbling team edged 10th-ranked Limestone University. The meet came down to team event, and the Tornado outscored Limestone 94.32-93.53, which vaulted King to a 269.395-269.330 victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Tornado trailed for nearly the entire meet, but made their move late in the second half, outscoring the Saints 53.725-53.050 in the tumbling event.
- That tumbling score was the second highest in program history, topping last year's score of 53.575 against Limestone.
- That pulled the Tornado within 175.800-175.075 entering the team event.
- King then turned in their best team event score since 2015, scoring 94.32, which is the third highest score in program history.
- The Tornado meet total of 269.395 is also the third highest total score. All of the other top five scores in program history came in 2017.
- The compulsory score of 37.45 is the second highest score in program history.
- King posted a compulsory acro heat program-high with a score of 9.50, topping the previous high of 9.45.
- The quad pass group of Nelson, White, Norvell, O'Dea set a program record with a score of 8.350, topping the previous mark of 8.100 that was set in 2019 and 2017.
