SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The ninth-ranked King University acrobatics & tumbling team trailed sixth-ranked Converse College nearly all night in their regular season finale on Thursday night. However, the Tornado fought back in the second half and used a solid team event to defeat the Valkyries 266.515-254.530. The win clinches the regular season Conference Carolinas title for the Tornado.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- King wins inaugural Conference Carolinas title. It is also the first conference championship in program history for the Tornado.
- The compulsory event score of 37.70 sets a new program record, breaking the previous mark of 37.55 set in 2017.
- The compulsory pyramid heat matched a program-high with a score of 9.90. The last time King posted that score was in 2016.
- The team event score of 94.94 is the third highest in program history.
