BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Dalton Gammon of the King University men's soccer team posted his first shutout of the season last week, and he was selected Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week for efforts.
In his lone start of the week, Gammon posted his first shutout of the season as he helped King to a 0-0 draw with Belmont Abbey College. The shutout is also the third of Gammon's career. In the contest, Gammon turned away all three shots he faced as the King defense held the Crusaders to only nine shots on the day.
This marks the second time Gammon has been selected Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, the other came on March 2.
The Tornado are scheduled to be in action again on Wednesday when they travel rival Lees-McRae College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Banner Elk, N.C.
