BRISTOL, Tenn. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced their postseason awards on Wednesday night at the NCATA Championships. King University's
Catherine Reynolds was selected NCATA All-America after her phenomenal season.
Reynolds becomes the third Tornado individual to earn NCATA All-America honors, joining
Ashley Berlin in 2019 and Sonia Stone in 2016 and 2017. This season Reynolds was selected the inaugural Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Year and first team All-Conference Carolinas.
This season Reynolds was selected Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week on March 16 and earned Athlete of the Week honors from the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) twice. Those NCATA weekly awards came on February 18 and March 18. The Fairfax, Va., native has helped the Tornado to program-high scores in five different events. In the tumbling open pass she set the school record and has broken it twice since with her best score being 9.925.
In the Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship title meet, Reynolds posted the first perfect tumbling score in program history when she scored 10.00 in the open pass. She was also crown Conference Carolinas champion earlier that day in the event finals in the tumbling open pass.
