MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University women's track and field team finished 10th at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Meg Davis led the Tornado, winning the 800 meter run in a personal record time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Davis finished 800 meter run with a time of 2:20.90, winning the race the race by more than one second.
- Christina Passamonte set a pair of personal records, finishing the 100 meter dash in 12.95 seconds and the 200 meter dash in 26.78 seconds.
- In the 5,000 meters, Grayson Howe set a personal record with a time of 20:43.71 Destiny Haller came in eighth with a time of 20:00.35.
- Howe then set another personal record in the 10,000 meters with a time of 42:38.90.
- Whitney Christian set a pair of personal bests, first in the 400 meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 1:06.77. She then broke that mark and finished third with a finals time of 1:05.51 in finals.
- Ruthie Fripp set personal records in both the hammer and the discus. She finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 33.00 meters. She marked 34.20 meters in the hammer throw.
FOR THE FOES
- The University of Mount Olive won the meet with Southern Wesleyan University finishing a close second.
