King named NWCA Scholar All-American team, 13 individuals honored

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's wrestling team was selected as a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American Team for the second straight year. The Tornado also had a record 13 individuals earn Scholar All-American honors.

King ranked third among NCAA teams with a team GPA of 3.621, coming in behind Adrian College (3.743) and McKendree University (3.720).
The Tornado led all NCAA teams with 13 Scholar All-Americans as they were the only team to have at least 10 individuals honored.

The King individuals that were recognized were; Deja Heatley, Aleeah Gould, Sophia Mirabella, Melanie Mendoza, Makayla Welch, Cheyenne Sisenstein, Phoenix Dubose, Allison Petix, Ana Luciano, Ashlynn Ortega, Tory Torres, Nia Crosdale, and Tavi Heidelberg-Tillotson.
