BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's and women's swimming teams were named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams this week. This marks the third time both programs have earned this distinction in the same semester.
The women's team has earned CSAA Scholar All-America team honors seven times, including the last six semesters. Under the tutelage of head coach
James Graves the women posted a 3.49 team GPA in the spring.
For the men, the marks the third time they have earned this award, the other two coming in the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2019. In the spring, the men recorded a team GPA of 3.35.
King was one of four Conference Carolinas schools to earn this distinction as they were joined by Barton College, Emmanuel College and Lees-McRae College.
Selections were made on the basis of their spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes. The Scholar All-America team includes 721 teams from 424 institutions.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
