LEESBURG, Fla. – The King University bass fishing team had two teams compete at the spring opener on Harris Chain of Lakes. The tandem of
Landon Lawson and
Hunter McClaskey led the way for the Tornado.

KING RESULTS: 67th and 175th of 189 boats
LOCATION: Harris Chain of Lakes; Leesburg, Fla.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lawson and McClaskey reeled in 10 fish on the weekend, five each day for a total of 184.00 points to finish 67th.
- On the second day their five fish weight 14 pounds, 13 ounces to give them a total of 24 points 10 ounces.
- The duo of Tyler Altizer and Dylan Thomson also pulled in 10 fish over the weekend, finishing 175th with 76.00 points.
- They caught five fish for a total of six pounds, five ounces on the second day. For the weekend, they weighed in at 13 pounds.
FOR THE FOES
- The winning tandem, Lafe Messer and Matt Messer of Kentucky Christian University accumulated 250.00 points with 10 fish weighing 61 pounds, 13 ounces.
