- King would eventually score the first 14 points, with the Tornado defense holding Erskine off the board until the 2:21 mark of the quarter.
- After a pair of Erskine layups, Rikkelle Miller took a pass from McKinney and hit a deep three to make it a 17-4 King lead.
- McKinney would add a three of her own in the closing seconds to hand King a 20-4 lead after one period.
Second Period

- Potts would hit a three a short time later to stretch the King lead to 25-6.
- Jordan McCullough hit a layup with 6:59 to play to make the score 27-6, which was the largest King lead in the half.
- Erskine would narrow the gap in the remainder of the quarter, outscoring the Tornado 18-12 to cut the lead to 39-24 heading into the intermission.
Third Period
- Ellington started the second half with a bang, hitting her second three of the game, quickly extending the lead to 42-24.
- That started a stretch where the Tornado scored the first 10 points of the quarter, with Erskine failing to find the bucket until the 5:49 mark, by which point King held a 49-27 lead.
- Erskine hit a three with 3:40 to play that kicked off a flurry of scoring, with the Tornado coming out on top, 56-35 with just over two minutes to play.
- Jaelyn West would add a three to make it 59-35 King.
Fourth Period
- It took until the 7:53 mark for either team to find the bucket, when Campbell popped a three off an assist from Ellington.
- Every time that the Tornado scored in the quarter, it seemed like Erskine had a response, but the Tornado were able to hold off the Flying Fleet offense, who shot just 6-of-16 from the field in the final quarter.
