Tornado finish 11th at Conference Carolinas Championship

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The King University men's cross country team finished 11th at the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championship. Mason Sanders led the Tornado, finishing 26th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sanders crossed the finish line in 26:51.1 to lead the Tornado.
  • Jordan Keith came in next for King, finishing in 27:07.3.
  • Coming in next for the Tornado was Josh Booher, finishing in 28:02.5.
  • Jesus Pacheco finished in 29:41.6 while Mason Thomas finished in 32:29.0.
  • Brandon Nunley rounded out the team with a time of 33:55.9.
FOR THE FOES
  • UNC Pembroke won the conference title while Emmanuel College finished second.
  • Joshua Chepkesir of UNC Pembroke was the individual champion with a time of 24:49.2.
UP NEXT
  • King will be in action again on November 19 at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship.
  • The regional championship will be held at the Wingate Cross Country Facility in Wingate, N.C.
  • The women's race will start at 10:00 a.m.
