BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team suffered a Conference Carolinas loss Saturday afternoon, 6-0 to Converse University on a rainy day at Parks Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado had the first shot on goal, as Patrick Poku took one in the ninth minute that was stopped by the goalkeeper.
- Two minutes later, Converse struck for their first goal to take a 1-0 advantage.
- After a foul inside the penalty box in the 37th minute, the Valkyries converted the ensuing penalty kick to go ahead 2-0.
- After a Weston Joyner shot was stopped in the 45th minute, Converse scored again in the closing seconds to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
- The Valkyries would go on to score three goals in a 10-minute stretch in the second half, including the final goal in the 85th minute, which put them ahead 6-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Poku had two shots, one of which was on goal.
- Chris Neal and Joyner also had shots on goal for the Tornado.
FOR THE FOES
- Jaxon Keene had two goals for Converse, while Guillherme Fontes, Hayden Gensler, Gabriel Verona and Joel Houston each scoring one.
- Mateo Sanchez made three saves in the shutout victory.
