GAFFNEY, S.C. – The King University softball team swept another doubleheader on Thursday, taking a pair at Limestone University. The Tornado held on to take game one 4-3 before using an eight-run inning to take game two 10-0.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Campbell Started the game with a single, but was left there.
- The Saints started the bottom of the first with a single and a walk, but Savana Luper then recorded back-to-back strikeouts.
- Following a single, Tinsley Thompson threw out a baserunner at home, ending the inning and keeping the game scoreless.
- Luper worked out of another jam in the third before the Tornado offense got on the board in the fourth inning.
- Thompson walked and Camryn Haag singled before Lilly Million laced a double that scored both and gave King a 2-0 lead.
- Samantha Helms started the fifth with a single and later scored on a Turner home run, giving King a 4-0 lead.
- The Saints started the bottom of the fifth with a single and a walk before groundout put runners on second and third.
- Back-to-back singles scored run, cutting the King lead to 4-2 before Madison Walter came in and got the final out.
- Walter got the first out of the seventh, but Limestone then ripped three straight singles to load the bases.
- A fielder's choice scored one, but the Tornado were unable to secure an out on the play.
- Walter then got a strikeout and foul out to end the game and give King the 4-3 victory.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- King loaded the bases with singles from Campbell and Dye and a Thompson walk.
- A Miller groundout scored one before King took a 2-0 lead with double steal.
- In the bottom of the first, the Saints put two runners on with one out, but Marliegh Duncan induced a double play to end the inning.
- Duncan again stranded two Limestone runners in the second before King blew the game open in the third.
- Day drove in a pair with a double before Turner laced a three-run double that stretched the King lead to 10-0.
- The Tornado then turned double plays to end the third inning and fifth inning to take the 10-0 victory.
