Tornado men's basketball 2023-24 schedule announced

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men's basketball head coach Jason Gillespie has announced the 2023-24 schedule for the Tornado. The regular season will start on November 10-11 on the road at a conference challenge at UVA Wise before the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship that starts on March 3 and finishes on March 10. The schedule is also highlighted by a pair of exhibitions against NCAA Division I foes.

The Tornado will start with an exhibition at East Tennessee State University on November 6. King last squared off with the Buccaneers in December of 2004. The Tornado will later face Western Carolina University in an exhibition on December 30 in Cullowhee, N.C.

The regular season starts on November 11 at UVA Wise before the Tornado take on Carson-Newman University at UVA Wise on November 12. The home opener is slated for November 25 against perennial national power Lincoln Memorial University.

King opens Conference Carolinas play on December 9 at Converse University before hosting 2023 regular season conference champion UNC Pembroke on December 13 in their first conference home contest.

The Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship starts on March 3 and 4 with the first and second rounds hosted on campus sites. The quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be on March 8-10 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C.
