CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The King University men's cross country team competed at the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University, where they finished 18
th in a field of 21 teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sean Kilpatrick was once again the top finisher for the Tornado. He finished at 26:39 and placed 115th in the field of 199 individual athletes.
- Lance Hatcher recorded an all-time personal best at 26:44 for 120th.
- Spencer Utsey also broke an all-time PR finishing at 129th with a time of 26:58.
- Cole Johnson had the biggest personal improvement as he set his new personal best 1:13 faster than he had before. He finished at 27:07 for 140th.
- Evan Deichert was right behind him in 141st at 27:13 for his own personal best by 22 seconds.
- Mason Sanders made his season debut with a time of 28:26 (175th) followed by Braydon Muhly at 28:39 (177th). Muhly shaved four seconds off his all-time personal record. Luke Childress finished at 31:20 for 192nd.

The King University men's cross country team will compete in the Conference Carolinas Championships on Saturday October 26. They will be running at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
