Three Tornado compete at East Regional Qualifier

WAKE FOREST, N.C. – Three members of the King University women's triathlon team competed at the East Regional Qualifier on Saturday afternoon, with Lexie LaDuc finishing in 21st-place to lead the Tornado.

THE BASICS
LOCATION: Sandling Beach; Wake Forest, N.C.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After finishing the swim in 13:27, LaDuc finished the bike in 35:50, while completing the run in 22:59 to finish in 1:12:27.7.
  • Jordan Houck finished in 1:22:22.6, with a swim time of 11:54, a bike time of 39:51 and a run time of 31:18.
  • After finishing the swim in 11:49, Elizabeth Rehkopf completed the bike in 40:46 before completing the run in 30:45 for a total time of 1:24:40.0.
FOR THE FOES
  • Sabrina Fleig of Lenoir-Rhyne was the race winner, with a total time of 1:00:07.8, finishing just ahead of a pair of Wingate athletes.
UP NEXT
  • The Tornado will be back in action Nov. 9 at the Women's Collegiate National Championships in Clermont, Fla.
