Bristol, Tenn. – King University was proudly represented by four determined athletes at the 2025 NCAA Division II Southeast Region Triathlon Championships. Held on November 8, the event showcased the endurance and competitive spirit of King's women's triathlon team as they battled through a grueling course featuring swim, bike, and run segments.
Lexi LaDuc Leads the Tornado
Junior Lexi LaDuc posted King's top finish of the day, crossing the line in 1:15:03.6 to earn 81 points. Her race was marked by a strong swim (13:35.2) and a consistent run (21:32.1), helping her secure a top-110 overall placement in a deep regional field.
Steady Efforts Across the Board
Junior Jordan Houck followed with a time of 1:28:01.5, earning 19 points. She delivered a solid bike leg (44:00.7) and pushed through the run in 29:23.8. Junior Hailey Mikell finished in 1:30:48.6, scoring 12 points with a strong swim (14:01.1) and steady pacing throughout the race.
Freshman Polly Lounsbury rounded out the King contingent, completing her first collegiate championship in 1:36:09.1 and earning 3 points. Her swim time of 11:47.1 was the fastest among King athletes, showing promise for future competition.

With three juniors and one freshman competing, King's triathlon program continues to grow in experience and depth. The team's performance at the Southeast Region Championships reflects their commitment to development and their potential for stronger finishes in seasons to come
