The King University Flag Football team traveled to Ferrum College as they took on Chowan in a single-game match-up after Mars Hill forfeited for today's game, giving King two wins today and their first program sweep. Their final conference win of the season came from a dominant win over Chowan, 49-6.

King gets its final win for their regular season with a 49-6 win over Chowan. King was able to take control early with two touchdowns in the first quarter to add 14 on the board for the Tornado. With a strong arm from
Samantha Lee, she was able to keep up the pressure with two more touchdowns in the second quarter to start with a commanding lead of 28-0 in the first half.

The third quarter started slowly for King, with Chowan sneaking in its first and only touchdown in the game, making the score 28-6. King would respond, scoring another touchdown and a PAT to make the score 35-6. King would put away another two touchdowns for the final score of 49-6.

Quarterback: Samantha Lee had one of her best days of the season with 283 yards passing, 23 completions on 40 attempts, with 86 rushing yards on five attempts, scoring seven times with six through the air and one on the ground for herself.

Top Receivers: Molly Turner had 111 yards with five receptions, adding another two touchdowns. Â
Hailey Mescall had 65 yards on seven catches.
Jadee Salvador had four catches for a touchdown and 58 yards.
Alyssa Ramos had 36 yards receiving on three catches.

Chassity Mandley, and
Addison Holly all grabbed on reception for a touchdown.

Defensive Highlights: Caroline Small had 10 total tackles with one tackle for a loss.
Anessa Davidson had eight tackles with an additional tackle for a loss and a sack.
Holly had nine tackles with 1.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.
Nyja Arnold had four tackles, three tackles for a loss, and two sacks.
