Durham, N.C. The King University Flag Football team traveled to Durham County Memorial Stadium for the first-ever Flag Football Conference Carolina Championship tournament. King would face off against the #3-seeded Lees-McRae, falling 47-6 in the quarterfinals.

In the first quarter, both teams' defenses held strong, holding both teams to no points, making it a close game through the first quarter. Lees-McRae started then scoring in the second quarter, putting up 20 points to take a commanding lead heading into halftime 20-0.

King got off to a good start in the second half, scoring a touchdown and failing the PAT to put six on the board. Lees-McRae would respond with another seven points in the third quarter, pushing the score to 27-6. The final quarter saw the Bobcats finish strong with another 20 points scored, leading to King falling to Lees-McRae 47-6.

Quarterback: Samantha Lee had another strong day against Lees-McRae with 244 yards passing on 24 completions of 28 attempts, with one touchdown through the air and 29 yards on the ground.

Top Receivers: Alyssa Ramos led the team in yards and receptions with 54 yards and eight catches.
Jadee Salvador had 45 yards on two catches, with one of them being for a touchdown.
Anessa Davidson had 44 yards and five receptions.
Jocelyn Kolozsy had 32 yards and three catches.
Faith Carter was able to grab two receptions for 31 yards.

Defensive Highlights: Ramos led the team on defense as well, with seven total tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Caroline Small had six tackles, two tackles for a loss, and one sack.
Jocelyn Kolozsy had five tackles and on break up.
Nyja Arnold was able to have two tackles, with two tackles for a loss and two sacks on the day.
