INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bryce Killian's brilliant season will continue for a two more weeks as he led the King University men's wrestling team at the NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Midwest Regional. Killian finished third, punching his ticket to the NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D. Along with Killian, Andrew Luttlerloh ended up on the podium with a fifth place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Killian, ranked third nationally, started his day in the semifinals at 141 pounds against Pernevlon Shepperd of UW-Parkside who was ranked fourth in the midwest region. Shepperd took a narrow 11-10 victory, sending Killian to the consolation bracket.
- In the consolation semifinals, Killian defeated Ian Ross of Lake Erie College on a 15-0 technical fall, advancing him to the third place bout and clinching a spot at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
- The junior capped his day with a 12-2 major decision over fifth-ranked Nick Lankford of Newberry College, giving Killian a third place finish.
- At 285 pounds, Lutterloh was also in the semifinals to start the day where he faced fourth-ranked Mike Kennedy of Newbery College. Kennedy took the match, sending Lutterloh to the consolation bracket.
- In the consolation semifinals, Lutterloh fell to Coker College's Austin Aikens on a tight 2-1 decision.
- Lutterloh then pinned Stuart Nadeau of UNC Pembroke in 4:20, giving him a fifth place finish.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Killian becomes the first Tornado wrestler to advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships since 2012.
- King had four wrestlers qualify in 2012, Frank Morgan, Tywan Claxton, Dondricus Anderson and Brandon Tressler.
- Lutterloh came up one spot short as the top four at each weight class qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships.
