Tornado drop final Conference Carolinas dual to Crusaders

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The King University women's tennis team fell to North Greenville University in their final Conference Carolinas regular season dual. After earning a victory at No. 1 doubles the Tornado were until to regain an advantage in the match and fell to the Crusader 7-2 after taking one more win at No. 2 singles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Marianne Hull and Ashley Salazar coasted to an 8-2 victory over North Greenville's Duhaw and Kiessling 8-2 at No.1 doubles.
  • The Tornado then fell at two and three doubles 8-5 and 8-3, entering singles with a 2-1 disadvantage.
  • Hull defeated Kiessling in a three set battle, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7, at No. 2 singles.
