BOONE, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team faced off against Lees-McRae College in their first dual meet of the season. The Bobcats were too much for the Tornado as King fell 148-57.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team of Samantha Davis, Gwen Haag, Madi Matthews and Brooke Williams touched the wall in 1:59.84 to start the meet.
- In the 1000 yard freestyle, Ashley Woods finished second with a time of 11:27.44.
- Michelle Morlock came in third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.51.
- Jamie Edwards and Madi Matthews finished second and third in the 50 yard freestyle. Edwards touched the wall in 25.33 seconds and Matthews came in at 25.57 seconds.
- Davis finished the 200 yard individual medley in 2:28.34.
- Edwards came in with a 100 yard butterfly tie of 1:02.54.
- Matthews came in second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.51 seconds.
- In the 100 yard backstroke, Davis touched the wall in 1:06.49.
- Woods came in runner-up in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:37.24.
- Haag finished second with a 100 yard breaststroke time of 1:17.59.
- The meet concluded with the 800 yard freestyle relay team of Edwards, Knox, Morlock and Woods finishing in 8:54.30.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on November 6 when they host Lees-McRae. The meet is scheduled to take place at Tennessee High School with the start time yet to be determined.
- Lees-McRae travels to Roanoke College on Saturday.
