MILLIGAN, Tenn. – The King University women's swimming team returned to the pool for their first time in 2022, falling at Milligan University.
Brooke Williams earned a win while
Jamie Edwards had a solid meet as King dropped the meet 182-45.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 meter medley relay team of Samantha Davis, Lynsey Knox, Edwards and Williams started the meet with a time of 2:15.20.
- Edwards followed with a third-place finish in the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 2:18.15.
- Williams followed with a time of 2:24.27 to take fourth.
- In the 100 meter breaststroke, Davis finished third with a time of 1:12.29 while Ashley Woods finished fifth, touching the wall in 1:16.44.
- Laura Ayres finished third in the 200 meter butterfly with a time of 3:03.13.
- Williams won the 50 meter freestyle with a time of 28.65 seconds.
- Edwards came in second in the 100 meter freestyle, touching the wall in 1:03.60.
- Michelle Morlock came in fourth at 1:06.94 and Williams finished fifth at 1:07.41.
- In the 200 meter backstroke, Davis came in fourth with a time of 2:41.33.
- She was followed by Woods and Knox who touched the wall in 2:43.50 and 2:55.24, respectively.
- Woods finished fifth in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:56.81.
- Edwards came third with a 100 meter butterfly time of 1:11.61.
- In the 200 meter individual medley, Knox finished in 2:58.99 to take fourth.
- The group of Morlock, Woods, Knox and Ayres closed the meet with a 200 meter freestyle relay time of 2:07.66.
UP NEXT
- King returns to the pool on Saturday when they travel to Mars Hill University to take on the Lions and Lees-McRae College. The meet is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. in Mars Hill, N.C.
- Milligan travels to take on University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, January 22.
