BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's soccer team fell behind early Sunday afternoon, allowing a pair of first-half goals in a 3-0 loss to Conference Carolinas foe Barton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Barton got the first flurry of shots in the fourth minute, but the first was blocked before a second one was sent wide of the goal.
- The first goal came in the 7th minute to hand Barton a 1-0 lead.
- After the ensuing kickoff, the Tornado took their first shot, but Ariana Gallegos was unable to find the net.
- Kristal Garcia made the first of what would end up being a pair of saves in the 16th minute, stopping a shot from Barton's Kassie Krul.
- The Bulldogs added their second goal a short time later to take a 2-0 lead in the 21st minute.
- The teams would trade shots that sailed wide of the net before Taylor Stubbs took a shot just before halftime that was blocked.
- It only took three minutes for Barton to add a third goal in the second half, as in the 48th minute Corinne Denham scored.
- The Tornado had one final chance in the closing minutes, but Veronica Roach's shot went over the top of the net.

- Bella Crisci and Gallegos both had two shots, with Gallegos getting one on goal.
- Garcia finished with a pair of saves.
FOR THE FOES
- Krul finished with four shots for Barton, with one shot on goal.
- Lexis Goldberg, Hailey Russell and Corinne Denham had goals for the Bulldogs.
