EMORY, Va. – The King University women's swimming team won three events Thursday night, but were unable to beat Emory & Henry, falling 118-75.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 meter medley relay team of Samantha Davis, Fanny Legros, Reese Lauletta and Madi Matthews started the dual with a win, finishing in 2:12.92.
- Davis then won the 100 meter backstroke in 1:16.74.
- In the 100 meter breaststroke, Gwen Haag finished in 1:20.91 to take the win over three Emory & Henry swimmers.
- Ashley Woods placed second in the 800 meter freestyle, touching the wall in 10:22.41.
- Legros came second in the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 2:3.23.
- Matthews finished the 50 meter freestyle in 28.36 seconds to place second, while Haag came third with a time of 29.50 seconds.
- Lauletta narrowly finished second in the 200 meter Individual Medley, touching the wall in 2:42.26, topping third place by 0.06 seconds.
- Lauletta picked up another runner up finish in the 100 meter butterfly, finishing in 1:14.95, with Michelle Morlock coming third in 1:18.71.
- Matthews placed second in the 100 meter freestyle with a time of 1:01.92.
- Legros picked up another second place finish in the 400 meter freestyle, touching the wall in 4:56.87, ahead of Woods, who touched in 5:16.22.
- The 200 meter freestyle relay team consisting of Woods, Haag, Lynsey Knox and Michelle Morlock finished second with a time of 2:06.36.
UP NEXT
- King will be back in action at the Bulldog Invitational on Friday Nov. 18.
- Emory & Henry will face Carson-Newman in a conference dual on Dec. 10.
