BRISTOL, Tenn. – Swimming their first home meet of the season, the King University women's swimming and diving team fell to Emory & Henry 110-90 Friday night. The Tornado won four events on the night, including a pair of relay wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Samantha Davis, Abbie Erme, Reese Lauletta and Madi Matthews started the night off with a win, swimming a combined time of 1:55.70 to win by eight seconds.
- A second King team consisting of Lynsey Knox, Gwen Haag, Michelle Morlock and Fanny Legros came third, with a total time of 2:03.64.
- Cassie Lowe picked up a win in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:02.07, besting Davis by two seconds.
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Lowe, Elizabeth Rehkopf, Michelle Morlick and Matthews closed the night with a win, finishing in 1:45.80 to narrowly edge the Wasps, who touched in 1:45.93.
- Lowe also had a second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, touching in 11:06.73.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, Rehkopf finished in 2:06.83 to take second, with Legros finishing one second later to take third.
- Lauletta and Erme finished second and third in the 200 yard IM, with Lauletta finishing in 2:26.48 while Erme touched in 2:27.74.
- The 50 yard freestyle had a trio of Tornado finish in a row, with Matthews finishing in 25.44 seconds, narrowly taking second. Haag came third with a time of 26.59 seconds, with Davis finishing in 26.68 seconds to take fourth.

- King will be back in the pool Jan. 18 for a tri-meet with Lees-McRae and Mars Hill, hosted by Mars Hill.
- Emory & Henry will take on UNC Asheville and VMI tomorrow morning in Asheville.
