MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team split a pair of meets on Saturday at Mars Hill University. The Tornado topped the homestanding Lions 133-105, but fell to Lees-McRae College 144-92.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado finished second in the 200 yard medley relay as the group of Samantha Davis, Abbie Erme, Rees Lauletta and Madi Matthews finished in 1:58.22.
- Fanny Legros finished runner-up in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:34.95, within 0.3 seconds of the winner.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, Elizabeth Rehkopf finished in 2:12.85 as she was followed by Ashley Woods at 2:13.68 and Lauletta at 2:14.67.
- Cassie Lowe finished third in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.59 as she was followed by Davis who finished in 1:08.19. Lynsey Knox finished in 1:15.22.
- In the 100 yard breast stroke, Erme finished third at 1:11.92 while Legros finished in 1:16.81.
- Lauletta won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:29.20.
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Matthews finished runner-up with a time of 25.86 seconds.
- Rehkopf led a trio of Tornado in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 59.71 seconds.
- Michelle Morlock finished in 1:02.05 and Woods touched the wall in 1:04.74.
- Lowe came in third in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:14.01 while Davis finished in 2:22.26.
- Erme and Legros finished third and fourth in the 200 yard breaststroke with times of 2:40.42 and 2:42.38, respectively.
- Lowe won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.48 while Rehkopf touched the wall in 5:44.72.
- In the 100 yard butterfly, Matthews finished runner-up with a time of 1:09.89. She was followed by Morlock and Knox with times of 1:09.89 and 1:16.91.
- Lauletta came in third in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:27.58.
- The team of Matthews, Lowe, Morlock and Rehkopf finished second in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:55.46.
- The quartet of Legros, Knox, Davis and Erme finished the 400 yard freestyle relay in 4:07.83.

- King swims in their final regular season meet of the season on Saturday at Tennessee High School when they host UNC Pembroke at 2:00 p.m.
