MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team dropped a pair of duals on Saturday at Mars Hill University. The Tornado fell to the Lions 120-69 and fell narrowly to rival Lees-McRae College 88-82.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King won the 200 yard medley relay to start the meet as the group of Cassie Lowe, Abbie Erme, Reese Lauletta and Katie Koenst finished in 1:54.76 to win by nearly 10 seconds.
- Fanny Legros followed with a runner-up finish with a 1000 yard freestyle time of 11:43.00.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, Isabella Monceaux finished fourth with a time of 2:17.37.
- King had three finishers in the 50 yard freestyle, led by Gwen Haag who came in third with a time of 26.88 seconds.
- Derin Yerlikaya finished fourth in 27.19 seconds while Elizabeth Rehkopf came in fifth at 27.36 seconds.
- Koenst finished runner-up in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:20.28 while Gracie Lynch came in fifth at 2:40.95.
- In the 200 yard butterfly, Lauletta touched the wall in 2:25.32 to finish runner-up.
- Lynch finished the 100 yard freestyle in 1:05.96 to take sixth.
- Lowe won the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.62.
- Monceaux finished the 500 yard freestyle in 6:13.13 to take sixth.
- Erme came in runner-up in the 200 yard breaststroke wit ha time of 2:35.86 while Legros finished in 2:41.41 to take third.
- The Tornado had two 200 yard freestyle relay teams, finishing third and fourth to close the meet.
- The group of Lauletta, Erme, Koenst and Lowe finished third in 1:46.27 while the quartet of Legros, Lynch, Monceaux and Haag finished in 1:54.00 to take fourth.

- King returns home on Saturday when they take on Converse University at 2:00 p.m. at Tennessee High School.
