BRISTOL, Va. – The King University women's swimming team fell to Converse University on Saturday 158-97.
Abbie Erme led the way as she broke the school record in the 50 yard breaststroke.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erme broke her own school record in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 31.64 seconds to take second.
- The Tornado started with a runner-up finish in the 200 yard medley relay as the team of Cassie Lowe, Fanny Legros, Reese Lauletta and Katie Koenst finished in 1:55.74.
- Koenst and Derin Yerlikaya finished second and third in the 400 yard individual medley with times of 5:00.15 and 5:05.15, respectively.
- Lowe won the 200 yard freestyle by six seconds with a time of 1:58.81 while Legros came in third with a time of 2:10.45.
- Isabella Monceaux touched the wall in the same even int 2:14.41 to take fifth.
- In the 50 yard backstroke, Koenst finished third with a time of 31.79 seconds.
- Koenst and Lauletta finished second and third in the 200 yard butterfly with times of 2:23.71 and 2:25.19, respectively.
- Gracie Lynch came in third in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 28.92 seconds.
- In the 100 yard freestyle, Yerlikaya touched the wall in 57.84 seconds to take second while Erme finished third in 1:00.21.
- Lowe won the 200 yard backstroke by nearly 20 seconds, touching the wall in 2:11.20.
- Erme finished runner-up in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:38.88 while Monceaux came in fourth with a time of 3:01.15.
- In the 50 yard butterfly, Lauletta came in runner-up with a time of 28.83 seconds while Lynch finished fourth with a time of 31.70 seconds.
- Lowe finished the 500 yard freestyle in 5:21.21 to win her third event of the day by 11 seconds while Legros touched the wall in 5:43.73 to take fourth.
- Yerlikaya won the 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:05.63 while Lynch finished fourth at 1:12.39.
- The Tornado closed the meet with a runner-up finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay as Yerlikaya, Legros, Erme and Lauletta finished in 1:48.88.
