BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team dropped a tight contest to rival Lees-McRae College on Wednesday afternoon. The Bobcats found the back of the net in the 15th minute and made that stand up to hand the Tornado a 1-0 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lees-McRae tallied the first shot on goal in the third minute, but it was turned away by Gauthier Lumale.
- The Bobcats made their next attempt count as Noah Daragmeh played a cross in from the right side and Ryan Aliam leaped to get a foot on the bounding ball and put it in the back of the net at the back post.
- Roman De Leon had the first scoring opportunity for the Tornado in the 26th minute, but it was turned away by the Bobcat goalkeeper.
- In the next minute, Ben Dalglish had an opportunity, but that too was turned away.
- The final 15 minutes of the half was played even as the Bobcats held a 1-0 lead at the break.
- Lumale came up with a pair of saves in the opening 15 minutes of the second half to keep the Tornado within striking distance.
- The best two scoring chances for the Tornado came in the 77th and 79th minutes as Pedro Herrera and Ricky Sexton had shots turned away.
- Those were the last chances the Tornado had as Lees-McRae took the contest 1-0.

- King took 12 shots in the match, placing five on goal.
- The Tornado also earned two corner kicks.
- Lumale made six saves in goal.
FOR THE FOES
- The Bobcats placed eight of their 14 shots on target and earned six corner kicks.
- The goal for Aliam was his second of the season.
- Sean Green made five saves for the shutout.
