BRISTOL, Tenn.- The King University Men's Soccer team played to a gritty 1-1 draw against Shorter University at Parks Field in front of 123 fans. Despite playing much of the match down a man, the Tornado showed resilience to earn a point in Conference Carolinas action.

King struck first in the 20th minute when
Jadon Morgan netted his first goal of the season, finishing a setup from
Cian McGoey to give the Tornado an early 1-0 advantage. The momentum shifted in the 26th minute when
Grayson Cunningham was sent off with a red card, forcing King to play with 10 men for the remainder of the match.
Shorter capitalized on the advantage in the 39th minute, leveling the score at 1-1 through a goal by Gustavo Ferreira, assisted by Issac Cruz. The second half saw both teams search for a winner, but strong defensive play and crucial saves from King goalkeeper
Daniel Cavanaugh (5 saves) kept the score even.
The match featured a physical battle, with both teams combining for eight yellow cards and one red. King managed nine shots (four on goal), while Shorter fired 15 shots, testing the Tornado defense throughout the match.
