EMORY, Va. – The King University women's swimming team split a pair of duals on Saturday at Emory & Henry College. The Tornado topped Mars Hill University 95-74, but fell to the Wasps 110-67.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado started with a runner-up finish in the 200 meter medley relay as the group of Cassie Lowe, Abbie Erme, Katie Koenst and Derin Yerlikaya finished in 2:09.76
- Reese Lauletta finished runner-up with a 400 meter freestyle time of 5:02.31. Isabella Monceaux came in fifth with a time of 5:25.39.
- In the 200 meter individual medley, Koenst came in third with a time of 2:36.72 while Derin Yerlikaya came in fifth at 2:46.04. Gracie Lynch touched the wall in 2:57.53 to take eighth.
- Lowe came in runner-up with a 50 meter freestyle time of 28.81 seconds while Erme finished fifth with a time of 31.32.
- In the 100 meter butterfly, Lauletta came in fourth with a time of 1:14.90.
- Lowe won the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:07.86.
- In the 100 meter freestyle, Fanny Legros finished fourth with a time of 1:07.84.
- Erme won the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:19.88.
- In the 200 meter freestyle, Yerlikaya finished runner-up, touching the wall in 2:21.51.
- Legros came in fourth with a time of 2:26.40 while Monceaux finished seventh with a time of 2:34.55.
- The Tornado closed with a runner-up finish in the 200 meter freestyle relay as the group of Lauletta, Legros, Lynch and Monceaux finished in 2:05.61.

- King returns to the pool on Saturday when they travel to Lees-McRae to face the Bobcats and Mars Hill.
