BRISTOL, Tenn. – Swimming in their first duals of the season, the King University women's swimming team picked up a 132-48 win over Blue Ridge Cup rival Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon. The Tornado also suffered their first loss of the season, 139-79 to Emory & Henry.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200-yard medley relay team consisting of Abigail Hogben, Alice Schoemanss, Liz Candanedo Furio and Katie Koenst started the meet with a win, finishing in 1:58.58.
- Koenst also had the lone individual win of the day for King, finishing the 100-yard Individual Medley in 1:03.93, winning by six seconds over second place.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, Koenst finished second, finishing just behind the winner with a time of 55.89 seconds. She was one of two swimmers in the event to finish in under a minute.
- Jordan Houck was second in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 27.68 seconds, while Reese Lauletta was third, touching the wall in 28.35 seconds.
- Schoemanss was second in the 400-yard Individual Medley, touching the wall in 4:54.84.
- Candanedo touched the wall second in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:05.28.
- Schoemanss and Houck had a 2-3 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Schoemanss finishing second in 1:12.72, while Houck was third with a time of 1:17.03.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Lauletta, Houck, Avery Banes and Derin Yerlikaya finished second, closing the meet with a time of 1:51.56.
