MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University women's swim team traveled to Mars Hill for pair of dual meets against Mars Hill and Emmanuel. The Tornado fell to Mars Hill by a score of 78-118 and to Emmanuel by a score of 47-157.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team opened the competition with a 1:59.01 second place finish. With a time of 1:48.57, the 200 yard freestyle relay took third place.
- Alice Schoemans took second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.46 and fifth place in the 100 yard breaststroke with at 1:14.14.
- Avery Banes took fourth in the 50 yard freestyle at 27.07 and right behind her was teammate Lizbeth Candanedo at 27.87.
- Katie Koenst swam a 5:13.63 to take fifth in the 400 yard IM and third in the 100 breaststroke at 1:12.45.
- Abigail Hogben took fourth in the 100 yard backstroke with her time of 1:05.59.
UP NEXT
The men's swim team will have a few weeks rest before they head to Barbourville, Kentucky for the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Union Commonwealth University on November 21 through November 23.
