PEMBROKE, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team dropped their dual meet, 207-43 to UNC Pembroke Saturday afternoon, with
Cassie Lowe picking up a win in the 100 yard backstroke for the Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lowe picked up her win in the 100 yard backstroke, finishing in 1:00.61 to win by three seconds.
- The 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Lowe, Fanny Legros, Derin Yerlikaya and Abbie Erme finished third with a total time of 1:58.02.
- Reese Lauletta was third in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing in 2:07.83.She also had a third-place finish in the 200 yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:26.81.
- In the 500 yard freestyle, Legros finished third with a total time of 5:38.78, with Lauletta finishing fifth in 5:39.83.
- Katie Koenst was third in the 100 yard butterfly, touching the wall in 1:02.02.
- The Tornado 400 yard freestyle relay team consisting of Isabella Monceaux, Lauletta, Yerlikaya and Koenst finished second, with a totaltime of 3:57.85.

- The Tornado will swim at Lees-McRae College on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
- UNC Pembroke is off until the Conference Carolinas championships, scheduled for Feb. 21-24 in Kingsport, Tenn.
