BANNER ELK, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team closed regular season with a triumph at rival Lees-McRae College on Wednesday night.
Abbie Erme led the way for the Tornado as King took the 53-42 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado started by winning the 200 yard medley relay as the group of Katie Koenst, Erme, Reese Lauletta and Fanny Legros finished in 1:54.69.
- Derin Yerlikaya and Reese Lauletta finished second and third in the 100 yard freestyle with times of 58.75 and 59.81 seconds, respectively.
- Erme won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 32.63 seconds while Gracie Lynch came in fourth in 38.19 seconds.
- Cassie Lowe touched the wall in the 50 yard backstroke in 29.13 seconds to take first.
- Lauletta and Yerlikaya came in second and third in the 100 yard butterfly with times of 1:05.69 and 1:12.43, respectively.
- Koenst won the 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:04.03 wile Lynch came in fourth at 1:14.91.
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Isabella Monceaux came in fourth with a time of 28.60 seconds while Elizabeth Rehkopf took fifth in 31.78 seconds.
- Erme won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.69 while Legros came in second, touching the wall in 1:17.38.
- Lowe and Koenst finished third and fourth in the 100 yard backstroke with times of 1:05.03 and 1:06.46, respectively.
- Lauletta won the 50 yard butterfly in 28.78 seconds while Lynch finished third in 32.72 seconds.
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Erme, Koenst, Legros and Monceaux won the event with a time of 1:54.31.
