Vazquez and Whitley lead King at the Fire Tower Project Run

BOONE, N.C. - he King University women's cross country team finished in 9th-place as a team at the 2024 Fire Tower Project hosted by Appalachian State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Tornado was led by sophomore, Ermay Vazquez, with an all-time PR in the 6k with a time of 23:54.53 and senior, Morgan Whitley, with a time of 24:29.10.
  • Also cracking the top 100 was Freshman, Faith Carter, with her first collegiate 6k time of 26:27.24 with a 7:03 pace – a faster pace than her 5k last weekend which was a 7:11 pace.
