King opens Conference Championships on Wednesday

CARY, N.C. - The King University women's swim team opened Conference Championships on Wednesday with three events.

THE BASICS
Team Score: 5th place, 60 points after Day 1
Location: Triangle Aquatic Center

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Isa Cabrera opened the meet with a 11:24.44 time in the 1000 yard freestyle for a 13th place finish. Derin Yerlikaya finished in 15th her time of 11:48.07.
• The relay team of Abigail Hogben, Jordan Houck, Liz Candanedo Furio, and Reese Lauletta finished in 6th place in the 200-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:54.25.
• Katie Koenst, Avery Banes, Alice Schoemans, and Yerlikaya swam a combined 8:08.53 in the 800-yard freestyle relay for 5th place.
