BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University baseball team defeated Davis & Elkins for their home opener by a score of 10-3 after scoring seven in the first inning. Head Coach
Brad Hill earned his first win since taking the helm of the program in August.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King scored fast and early. Truman Roper hit a lead off double down the right field line. He then scored when Michael Starrs hit a single through the left side.
- Joe Amunategui III, Levi Medford, and Joe Uribe hit back-to-back-to-back doubles bringing the score to 5-0 with just one out.
- On Roper's second plate appearance in the inning, he hit a sacrifice-fly to bring in Uribe before Conner Hyatt stole home.
- Starrs led off the bottom of the second with a solo home run to left center.
- Davis & Elkins scored in the top of the third and the top of the fourth.
- Jose Ruiz scored on a wild pitch in the fifth inning before Starrs scored again on an Amunategui single to left field in the seventh inning.

- Five Tornado players had 2 hits. Michael Starrs went 2-3 with a home run, and 2 RBI. He also had 2 walks and scored three of King's 10 runs.
- Truman Roper, Joe Amunategui III, Levi Medfor, and joe Uribe each had a double. Amunategui had 2 RBIs and Conner Hyatt had 2 walks.
