BRISTOL, Tenn. – 122 King University student-athletes earned Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards during the 2024-25 school year. King had the third-most student-athletes earn the awards amongst Conference Carolinas schools.
"Congratulations to our student athletes and our coaches for demonstrating the pursuit of academic excellence. We celebrate our students for having the right priorities and for being resourceful as they balance the rigor of their athletic and academic responsibilities," said Vice President of Athletics
Jose Larios. "We look forward to another tremendous year in the classroom."
To qualify, a student-athlete must be nominated by a dues-paying member of the D2 ADA, while also having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, as well as having attended a minimum of two years of college level work.
The D2 ADA is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities; enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics; and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of Division II athletics directors.
