McCormick, S.C. – The King University Men's Golf team competed at the Savannah Lakes Men's Golf Invitational, finishing the final day this afternoon, where King saw three of their five athletes tick up on the leaderboard.
Nathan Hopley had a strong final day, passing 14 other golfers in the final round.
Hopley was able to make a birdie to start his morning on the first hole to set the tone for the round. He would then shoot two more birdies and finish the round at -1, putting his total at +7 for the two-day invite. He finished in 66
th place overall with his 16-place jump today.
Deagan Erfmann had another consistent round, shooting a +1 with three birdies in the final round to +2. He passed two other golfers and finished in 40
th place.
Vetle Saether made up for yesterday with a +1 on the day, finishing with a +14 total, and passed seven athletes for 92
nd place.
Garrett Wellman struggled today, shooting a +7, and finished the final round with a +7 aggregate score, finishing in 66
th place.
