HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team fell at regional rival Lincoln Memorial University on Wednesday afternoon. The Railsplitters scored five goals in the opening half and added three in the second half to take the contest 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kenneth Walton had the first scoring chance of the contest, but his attempt in the fifth minute was saved by the Railsplitter goalkeeper.
- In the 10th minute, Lincoln Memorial scored on their first attempt of the contest.
- The Railsplitters added another on a penalty kick in the 20th minute, giving Daniel Burko his second goal of the game.
- Burko netted his third goal of the game in the 24th minute, giving Lincoln Memorial a 3-0 lead.
- Walton took another shot on target in the 41st minute, but it again was turned away.
- Burko found the back of the net two more times in the final five minutes of the half, giving Lincoln Memorial a 5-0 lead at the break.
- Hunter Oubre netted three goals for Lincoln Memorial in the second half, giving the Railsplitters the 8-0 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- King took two shots, both on target from Walton in the first half.
- The Tornado also earned one corner kick in the contest, coming in the first half.
- Anthony Bernardi made six saves in goal.
FOR THE FOES
- Lincoln Memorial placed 14 of their 20 shots on target and earned six corner kicks.
- Daniel Benedek Miklosi made two saves for the shutout.
