BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Conference Carolinas announced the Swimmer of the Week awards on Wednesday morning.
Edu Elizaran Galan has won his third Swimmer of the Week award in his freshman campaign.
Elizaran Galan, a freshman from Caroba, Spain, helped King defeat Emory & Henry on Friday and contributed to the Tornado's effort against Milligan on Saturday. He won the 100 backstroke on Friday by three seconds with a time of 51.37. He also took second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:44.08. On Saturday, he took silver in the 50 meter backstroke at 28.09, the 100 backstroke with a 59.15, a 1:32.41 in the 150 backstroke. He also led off the 400 medley relay team that won on Friday evening by a margin of 26 seconds. He was also a member of Friday's winning 400 yard freestyle relay.
He will join the rest of the King University men's swim team on Friday, January 31 for a dual meet against Converse at 6pm at Tennessee High School.
