Gauthier Lumale of the King University men's soccer team was named Third Team All-Conference Carolinas Friday afternoon, his first career all-conference honor.
Lumale, a senior from Biscarrosse, France, started all 13 matches he played in, making a total of 49 saves on the year. He had four shutouts on the season, including consecutive shutouts Oct. 2 at Belmont Abbey and Oct. 12 against North Greenville, as well as a shutout at Southern Wesleyan to close the season. He made a season-high seven saves on two occasions, with the first being Sept. 18 at North Greenville, repeating the feat Oct. 22 at Converse, salvaging a 2-2 draw for the Tornado.
Lumale finished the season ranked sixth within Conference Carolinas with 3.77 saves per game, while his four shutouts puts him fourth in the conference.
